Dry storage containers also known as dry cargo containers used for transporting dry, non-perishable goods. Dry storage containers are the most commonly used containers in the shipping industry. They comes in 20ft, 40ft, and 45ft sizes. They are designed to transport dry goods, non-perishable goods. They don’t have temperature controls, so they can’t be used to transport things like food, chemicals, or items that that require refrigeration. Around 17 million intermodal containers are used worldwide and the large portion of international trade is transported in shipping containers. Their invention in the 20th century revolutionized global commerce by significantly reducing transportation costs and enabling more affordable long-distance trade.

Dry storage containers are handled by using spreaders. Spreaders come in many types and sizes according to the type of crane and lifting cycles required.

High Cube Containers

(HC) High cubes are similar in structure to dry containers. The length and width remain the same but the height increases by 1 foot. This enables them to meet more cargo demands.

They come in three different sizes i.e. 20ft HC, 40ft HC and 45ft HC. The extra height provides more storage space at their price point. They are a good choice if you need more storage space than the 20ft or 40ft containers.

Both dry storage and high cube containers are widely available and popular in the shipping industry. However, due to a lack of transparency in the industry you might pay more than the current market value.
