CFS/CFS Shipping stands for Container Freight Station to Container Freight Station. It is a term commonly used in the logistics and shipping industry. CFS/CFS Shipping refers to a shipment where goods are received, consolidated, and loaded into a container at the origin CFS and delivered and deconsolidated at the destination CFS. This process is also known as Pier to Pier shipping.
CFS / CY (Pier to House): In this type of shipment, cargo is consolidated at the origin CFS but delivers it directly from a Container Yard (CY) at the destination. This is also called to as an LCL/FCL (Less-than-Container Load/Full Container Load) shipment, as it involves multiple exporters and a single importer.
CY / CFS (House to Pier): In this type of shipment, Goods are collected from the Container Yard (CY) at the origin and delivered to the destination CFS for de-consolidation. It is also called an FCL/LCL (Full Container Load/Less-than-Container Load) shipment, as it involves a single exporter and multiple importers.
